Started in 2010 by Timothy and Joyce Hiwrale, Sparsh Happy Home cares for orphaned and other children in need from Pune's red light district, ensuring that they have the things they need to thrive (housing, education, encouragement, and love). The Happy Home also supports many of the children's mothers in their efforts to learn new skills and find new work.
Started in 2013, Food for His Glory feeds, clothes, and educates children in the Ramtekdi slum of Pune, India. Growing from 49 kids in 2013 to over 400 in 2022, Food for His Glory pivoted during the pandemic of 2020-2021 to feed not only the children, but their families, as well as displaced migrant workers.
Vacation Bible School started in 2017 with 120 children and has continued to grow early to now over 400 children. During the week, the children sing, do crafts, and listen to stories about the One True God, Jesus.
In 2019, SPARSH Global began its support of a second feeding and tutoring ministry in Pune. Under His Wings is centered in the Khadi Machine slum and modeled after the Food for His Glory program in Ramtekdi. This ministry is currently serving around 40 children. The Under His Wings program has also stepped in during the days of the pandemic to ensure that others in Khadi Machine are receiving much needed food even as the crisis winds down.
The Discipleship for Teens program began in 2022 to help teenage Jesus followers in the Ramtekdi slum deepen their relationship with Christ through the teaching of spiritual disciplines.
Started in 2022 with the help of the Blue Valley Baptist Church Women on Mission, this program educates and equips young women on God's design for their bodies and how to properly care for themselves.
A new program being researched by our team to help the Jesus following teens in the Ramtekdi slum and at the Sparsh Happy Home with furthering their university education.
